If there was ever a liquor that could taste like the endless summer the tropics brings, it would have to be a traditional white cane spirit.

The FNQ Rum Co Platinum Cane Spirit starts from the fermentation on site of freshly crushed Cairns Highland sugarcane juice, prized for its high flavour and mineral qualities as a result of being grown in rich red volcanic soil at altitude.

The ferment is then distilled three times in our copper pot still (affectionately named Helga) for ultimate purity and flavour.

All water is sourced from a deep volcanic spring which is rich in minerals and crystal clear.

From Mojitos to Cane Spirit Frappes; Daiquiris to Sugar Cane & Ginger Swizzles… or just neat over ice, the FNQ Rum Co Platinum Cane Spirit is an endless summer tipple that needs to be on your list.

Fresh, light hypnotic element of the sugar cane syrup comes through resulting in an exceptional mouth feel.

SERVING SUGGESTION

Fantastic with freshly juiced pineapples.

Cocktail – Far North Mojito.

Ingredients:  60ml FNQ Rum Co. Rum, 1 Lime cut into 8ths, 30ml Sugar syrup, 10-12 mint leaves, CAPI Soda Water.

Method:  Squeeze 7 of the lime wedges and drop into glass. Clap mint leaves with hands and add to glass along with sugar syrup, muddle contents 3-4 times with muddler.  Add FNQ Rum Co. Platinum Rum and fill glass with crushed ice. Mix and top glass up with sparkling mineral water then garnish with sprig of mint and a lime wedge.
